Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint in Charleston reporting and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She has co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
