The issue came up in March when she gained a sudden burst interest when it was public that her name was going to be a potential candidate to replace Hope Hicks as the director of communication. But she drew a burst of interest in March, when her name was floated as a potential replacement Hope Hicks as communications director. The fight has been ugly. The Schlapp's allies as well as Tony Sayegh started arguing in the media. Schlapp said that when that the Washington Examiner ran a story with negative remarks about Sayegh she sat down for a chat with Sayegh.
